By using our Services or communicating with us through WhatsApp or other Meta platforms, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Jain Steel Group operates steel trading, manufacturing support, sales, purchase, logistics, accounting, and customer communication services for business customers and partners across India.

• Identity & contact data: name, company name, designation, postal address, email address, telephone number, WhatsApp number, GSTIN, and other business identifiers.
• Communication data: messages, attachments, voice notes, delivery receipts, and metadata sent or received via WhatsApp, email, phone, or other channels integrated with our Odoo ERP.
• Transaction data: quotations, sales orders, purchase orders, invoices, payments, delivery details, and account statements.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, login timestamps, webhook event IDs, and system logs related to secure access and integration delivery.
• Meta platform data: information made available to us by Meta when you message our business accounts, including your WhatsApp profile name, phone number, message content, and message status (sent, delivered, read), as permitted by Meta's terms and your privacy settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only for legitimate business purposes, including:

• responding to enquiries and providing customer support;
• processing sales, purchases, deliveries, and payments;
• sending order confirmations, invoices, statements, and collection reminders;
• managing CRM, vendor communication, and internal workflows in Odoo;
• complying with applicable laws, including tax and accounting requirements;
• preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;
• improving our services, subject to appropriate access controls.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract, legitimate business interests (such as customer communication and debt collection), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required (for example, when you initiate contact via WhatsApp or opt in to business messaging).

5. WhatsApp & Meta Integrations

When you communicate with Jain Steel Group through WhatsApp or other Meta platforms, Meta may process your data according to Meta's own Privacy Policy. We receive and store only the information necessary to conduct our business relationship inside our secure Odoo ERP environment.

WhatsApp messages may be linked to customer or vendor records, used to send templated business notifications (such as payment reminders or order updates), and retained for audit and service quality purposes.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share information only with:

• authorized employees and agents of Jain Steel Group who need access to perform their duties;
• IT service providers, hosting partners, and integration providers that support our ERP and messaging systems, under confidentiality obligations;
• Meta / WhatsApp, to the extent required for message delivery and platform compliance;
• banks, logistics partners, and professional advisers where necessary to complete transactions;
• government or regulatory authorities when required by law.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption, access controls, user authentication, role-based permissions, and secure server infrastructure. Only authorized personnel may access customer and vendor data within Odoo.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including statutory retention periods for accounting, tax, and legal records. Communication logs may be retained while an active business relationship exists and for a reasonable period thereafter unless deletion is requested and permitted by law.

• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• request deletion of data where legally permitted;
• withdraw consent for marketing or optional communications;

10. Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of your personal data processed through our WhatsApp or ERP systems, please email us at info@jainsteelgroup.co.in with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your full name, company name, and WhatsApp / phone number used to contact us.

We will verify your identity and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Some data may be retained where required by law (for example, invoices and tax records). Deleting data from our systems does not delete information already held by Meta; you may also need to contact Meta directly for platform-level deletion.

11. Cookies & Website Usage

Our website and ERP portal may use essential cookies and session identifiers required for security, login, and basic functionality. We do not use cookies for unrelated advertising purposes on this policy page.

12. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for business users and are not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. International Transfers

Our primary systems are hosted in India. Where data is processed by Meta or other providers outside India, such processing is subject to their applicable safeguards and terms.
